I was working as a cleaner at a factory, and when my shift let out late at night, it was storming really bad. And even though I was wearing newly purchased no-slip shoes that cost over $100, and even though a coworker held an umbrella over me to keep me dry, I had a bad fall in that parking lot. It was like I had fallen into a black hole.

I called my supervisor to let them know about the fall, and they wouldn’t talk to me. They told me to text. At work on Monday, I could not move my arm. I spoke to my supervisor, and they threatened me with my job. It was bad enough there because I was the only female on the floor who cleaned the factory equipment, and they harassed me all the time. But when I submitted for unemployment, I lost my job.

Reinhardt | Harper | Davis was recommended to me as the best place to go when a worker gets injured. I’m so glad I called. Six months of physical therapy was a nightmare for my arm, because it turned out I needed surgery for a torn shoulder cuff. After the surgery I felt so much better! The firm also made sure I got the wage benefits I was denied.

I really enjoyed working with Jon and his team. Kennedy and the other paralegals were total sweethearts. They stayed in constant contact, and always gave me a heads up when something new was coming up. Everything stayed updated – they were on top of it. The best thing about the experience was they didn’t make you feel like a client. They made you feel like family.
