I was in Virginia putting flooring down on a construction site. I was using a drill with no handle, and my equipment was sticky. The drill caught my glove, wouldn’t stop, and pulled off my pinky finger. Because of the condition of my finger, it could not be reattached.

Even though I had lost my finger less than 24 hours prior, my boss was calling me and asking me to come back to work – that very next day! I couldn’t believe what he was asking me to do. One of my hands was bandaged up, and I was in a lot of pain. I had multiple surgeries and a lot of physical therapy. With my employer, I knew I needed an attorney.
