At my job, there was a huge gate attached to a motor, and it would open and close at the end of our shifts. One day, it wouldn’t open to let me out. I shut off the motor, and multiple people started pulling the gate to open it.
When doing this, I ripped my tendon straight away from the bone. I had one surgery, but wasn’t fully checked out with an MRI beforehand. It turns out I had a second tear they didn’t notice, about an inch away from my original injury. I had gone to physical therapy for a year without improvement, and they recommended I go to a hand specialist. That’s when they found the second tear. Then I had a second surgery.
I had an attorney in North Carolina who recommended me to you, since the accident happened in Virginia. I had a wonderful experience with Jon and his legal assistant. He managed my expectations, walked me through everything I was to expect, and gave really specific instructions on what to do and what not to do. They took such good care of me; it was wonderful.
