According to a recent Virginia Workers’ Compensation ruling, employees who suffer psychological injuries on the job can receive workers’ compensation benefits. Andrew Reinhardt represented the employee, Thomas Faigle, during the review of this case regarding the shooting that took place at New River Community College in 2013. He pointed toward other situations where one may suffer from psychological pain such as tellers during bank robberies and law enforcement officers who suppress psychological pain suffered in the line of duty.
